The Chef

Stand side-by-side with Chef Todd Fisher and you will see a creative giant in red shoes with a practical approach to cooking amazing food.  That is exactly the experience he wants you to have when you are with him.  Hugs and smiles and good laughs typically surround him while he crafts bold American cuisine with special surprises only Chef Todd can serve.   More than 20 years as a culinary veteran, restaurateur and food consultant, Chef Todd is  a leader in the culinary world through education, entertainment and tantalizing taste bud combinations.

A San Francisco native and fifth generation Californian, Chef Todd began his craft at age 15 working for a local neighborhood Chinese restaurant.  Finding his talent quickly, he dove right in by taking classes, starting a catering company and working with a wide variety of kitchens to learn as much as he could about the wide variety of foods that is the melting pot of California Cuisine so special.  Chef Todd’s signature style of intensity, mouth bursting flavor and California Cuisine articulate his “Go for it” energy that constantly surprises, delights and entertains.

Once on the Monterey Peninsula, Chef Todd debuted at the renowned Montrios.  As part of the team, this venue was named Esquire magazine’s Restaurant of the Year, 1995.  From there, he lead the kitchens in world famous Pebble Beach Resorts Stillwater Bar & Grill.  Known for its celebrity clientele and incredible views of the renowned golf links, Chef Todd’s talent and amazing flavors was a perfect match.    

Ready for his own adventure, Hullabaloo was opened in 2000.  Menu delights of Backyard Salmon with a Soy and Apricot Glaze, Guinness Glazed Baby Back Ribs and Sesame Crusted Calamari with Red Chile Vinaigrette created the right mixture of amazing food, ambiance and personality as only Chef Todd could provide.  

Adding to his wheel house of experience, Chef Todd reached new audiences through food festivals such as the Pinnacles Wine Festival, Disney Food & Wine, Carmel Tomato Fest and Harvest Farm-to-Table.   In 2006 he was inducted into the Carmel Tomato Fest Hall of Fame.   Charisma and intuitive leadership made him a natural candidate to be the “Ringmaster” for the prestigious Pebble Beach Food & Wine in 2009 and 2010.  In this role, Chef Todd coordinated and hosted the most respected culinarians in the world like Thomas Keller, Jacques Pepin and Eric Ripert.

Today, Chef Todd can be found in The Kitchen – his kitchen in Sand City, California.  Here he is focused on providing amazing, intimate and educational experiences for his patrons with an urban industrial flair.  Visiting chefs, classes, intimate parties and large events, all celebrate Chef Todd’s amazingly eclectic talents and gifts.
